Monster Hunter Wilds was already the best entry point Capcom had ever created for the series. Sunbreak takes that foundation and adds the depth veteran hunters have been craving.

New Monsters and Region

The expansion introduces 18 new large monsters, including the flagship Astalos variant and a terrifying new black dragon that anchors the endgame loop. The new region, the Crystalline Wastes, is a visually striking biome of salt flats and crystal caverns that encourages vertical traversal.

Endgame Systems

Sunbreak introduces layered weapon progression that lets you customize move sets rather than just stats. The new hunt difficulty system scales rewards and monster aggression based on clear times, keeping even familiar fights fresh.
